Yoshitoshi – One hundred aspects of the moon
oshitoshi (1839-1892), een van de bekende kunstenaars uit Japan heeft een serie prenten gemaakt over historische figuren – bestaande en fictieve – uit de Japanse geschiedenis onder de titel ‘honderd aangezichten van de maan‘. Deze serie is gepubliceerd tussen 1885 en 1892.
Ook dichters en romanfiguren zijn afgebeeld – deze hebben mijn speciale aandacht als liefhebber van de Japanse poëzie zoals haiku, tanka en haibun.
